GWR railcar at West Bromwich - date unknown

When I was a very small boy, Dad, recognising my enjoyment of riding on trains, would often take me from West Bromwich to Birmingham Snow Hill and back on a Sunday Morning while Mum was busy cooking lunch at home. We travelled on one of these ex GWR diesel railcars on the Dudley to Snow Hill service,W8W being a regular. The railcar here has just arrived having passed under the Lyng Lane bridge. I don't know who took this photograph I'm afraid but would be glad if anyone were able to enlighten me.
