Having arrived the previous day with the 09.05 Gloucester New Yard to Teigngrace, Colas class 66 number 66847 has deposited its wagons at their destination and has run back down the Heathfield branch towards Newton Abbot for overnight stabling. With the hills of Dartmoor in the background the locomotive sits on the branch line on the 6th December 2011, awaiting the call to collect its loaded train, the first working of timber from Teigngrace to Chirk. In the foreground is the point leading to a former ball clay siding, just north of the Kingsteignton Road.
